Aims of the CAB

to ensure that individuals do not suffer through the lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities or of the services available to them, or through an inability to express their needs effectively.

and equally

to exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services, both locally and nationally.

Principles of the Service

The service which the Citizens Advice Bureau offers is:

Free

We offer a free service to all our clients

Confidential

Nothing about a client is revealed outside of the Bureau without the client's permission

Impartial

The service is available to anyone regardless of race, sexuality, gender, religion or disability

Independent

We offer our service to all our clients independent of any funding body
